Picture time!

In my spare time I've been taking pictures of friends and family for practice and to build up my portfolio. Hopefully one day soon I'll be able to start my very own photography business.

This is my friend Rachel's daughter Lauren. She wanted some pictures for her music page on Myspace so we went out one day and had a great time going to different places taking pictures. We almost got eaten by a junkyard dog, but don't worry, I would have put her in front of me to protect myself. I know how devasted you all would be if something happend to me.

It's pretty hard to take bad pictures though when you have such a cute subject :)

Ode to the red purse

I recently had to give up my most favorite purse because my friend/wannabe wanted to buy the same one. You may ask why I had to quit carrying it just because my friend bought it and there are many reasons.

1. We work together
2. We workout together
3. We carpool to workout and work
4. I don't want to look like an idiot because we have matching purses and go everywhere together.

Since I've been missing my beautiful red purse, I wrote a poem to express my feelings.

Oh, red purse how I miss you so
your shineyness and your big red bow
Rachel loved you and she bought your twin
of course she loves you, you're a perfect ten
I'm not sure how I will ever replace you
Until I visit handbag heaven for something new!

So i'm searching for a new handbag. Any suggestions? I like big, Bigger and BIGGGGGG!

Hail, Hail to Old Purdue

So, Purdue lost to Duke last night. I'm still getting over it, but there is always next year right?? We still had a great time at the game and after. I got to see my bestest friend Amanda, got to cheer for Purdue in person for the first time since college, sang the fight song with a crowd again, had that old college feeling of camaraderie with other Purdue fans and I got to say "Boiler Up!" and "Woo! Woo!" without getting weird looks.

What I learned from the game last night:

1) Duke fans suck! I think Duke is one of those schools that has the bandwagon fans. They were all basically silent the entire game until they were up by 10. Those were the first cheers I heard from them. Pfft, losers.

2) Reliant should sell tickets in groupings so each school's fans can sit together. I swear, we were the ONLY Purdue fans in the entire club level.

3) The parking lot directors at Reliant officially are the worst ever. Waving your arms from side to side doesn't tell people where they are supposed to go, setting up random cones does not constitute an aisle, directing people to drive down the pedestrian walkway probably isn't your smartest move. But hey, what do I know?

4) They should sell beer at NCAA games. Period.

5) Purdue rocks (I actually already knew that though) JuJuan Johnson is totally sick, E'twaun Moore kicks butt, and of course Chris Kramer will go down as a Purdue legend.

So on to next year! Great job boys!

Hail, Hail To Old Purdue!

All Hail To Our Old Gold And Black!
Hail, Hail To Old Purdue!
Our Friendship May She Never Lack.
Ever Grateful, Ever True,
Thus We Raise Our Song Anew;
Of The Days We've Spent With You,
All Hail Our Own Purdue!

Mama Mia

I have the best Mama in the WORLD! She was just here for a week and while she was here she did all the trim paint for my dining room and bedroom and made curtains for my dining room. Everytime she visits, my house gets more beautiful. On the way to the airport this morning she even asked "What are we going to do next time?" I love her (and she's really cheap labor ;) )

She told me while she was down here that I've always been her favorite, but not tell my brother or sister, so please if you're reading this and you know my brother or sister don't tell them, thanks!

Boiler Up!

Guess where we'll be on Friday night at approximately 9pm CST?!?!?! Cheering on our Boilermakers in our very own hometown! Who would have thunk it? Here's where will be sitting. As you can see we'll be super close to the action (please note the use of sarcasm here), but really, we just want to be there to cheer on Purdue and represent for our homies up north!

You've probably heard by now that we are down a player (some might call him our best player), but I say "POOEY!" on that. We may be down a player but we still have a good team. Purdue has proved everyone wrong (Barack Obama I'm talking to you!) and made it to the Sweet Sixteen. Holla! We've got our tickets, now I just have to make signs and convince Jeff to shave and paint his chest with a big Purdue P. What do you think, he looks good right??
