Lily's Baby

I took this photo awhile ago and kind of skipped over it until yesterday.  Isn't it just too sweet?  Lily Belle checking on her baby.

1 Month Old

I honestly cannot believe that Maddox is already a month old.  This past month has just flown by.  It seems like the days are over before they even get started!

We have had a busy past few weeks.  Maddox finally met his Granny.  My Mom came down for 2 weeks.

While my Mom was here we went on many outings.  To Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Target, the grocery store, to visit friends.  He is such a good little baby, which is good, because Mommy can't just sit at home all day long!

Maddox also got to meet Amanda.  My best friend from college.  She lives in Austin and came to Houston on Saturday just for little Maddox.

My friends Becky and Brooke and Brooke's little boy Whit also came over for a visit (I forgot to get pictures!)  Whit is going to be getting a baby brother or sister in December and he is so excited.  I couldn't believe how sweet he was with Maddox, he is going to be such a good big brother.

My friend Claudia came over last week to meet Maddox and Rakhee and Sam visited last Sunday to meet him...again, no photos!  I'm so bad!

Kayleigh and Hadley came over last weekend too!

And Lily was a little jealous of all the attention everyone else was getting instead of her ;-)  Can you tell??

Maddox has had his first trip to Lupe Tortilla's, for Daddy's birthday.  He did great, he just slept the entire time. Even when 12 waiters came around to sing Happy Birthday to Jeff.  We took him to Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday, he didn't do so great.  But he had already had a big day of grocery shopping, a visit from our neighbor Katy and a trip to Sugar Land to visit Maureen (his Aunt Jackie's Mom).

His last doctor's visit he weighed 8lbs 13.5oz!  He is getting to be a little chunky monkey (my Mom hates it when I call him that!)  He has two chins and counting!!

At night he is usually sleeping from around 10-4 and then he's back up again around 7.  From there it depends on if Mommy lays him back in his bed (up again about an hour or less later) or lets him sleep on her chest on the couch (sleeps another 2-4 hours) I bet you can't guess which option I choose!!

He is changing every single day. Each day he becomes more alert and aware of his surroundings.  When he hears mine or Jeff's voice he will look for us.  He is following toys and kind of grabbing for things now.  Every day is so much fun!

I'm sure I'm forgetting things!  I need to start updating more!  And just for my big sister who has been hounding me for more photos...here you go Angie!  Little mister has not been wanting to co-operate with the camera lately, but that doesn't stop me from trying!

We get this face a lot ;-)

haha! and then he peed on the pillow!

This is the face that usually follows the pouty face

Father's Day

I'm a little late on the father's day post!!

Jeff was out of town for the weekend for a wedding in New York but he came back on Saturday night so he wouldn't miss his first Father's Day.

Shirts compliments of Aunt Jackie and Uncle Mark

Maddox and Lily gave Daddy a new drill, grill brush and a pass to the shooting range.  We didn't do anything special, just hung out at the house.  Jeff just wanted to relax after his busy weekend of traveling.

Hope all of your Father's Days were wonderful!

3 weeks old

Maddox is 3 weeks old!

That pesky umbilical cord FINALLY fell off.  So you know what that means....BATH TIME!  I was so happy to finally be able to give him a bath.  He hated getting the sponge baths, so I was very anxious to see if he would like real baths.  Good news is that after he got over the initial shock he really did like it.

We've being doing lots of tummy time.  He doesn't really like it, but he is so strong!  On Memorial Day he actually rolled over!  Lily likes tummy time too.  She sometimes gets a little too close for Mommy's liking though.  I just keep imagining a huge paw in that little face wouldn't feel so great.

It's been a lot of feedings, lots of sleeping for Maddox (NOT a lot of sleeping for Mommy) on repeat around here.  Everyday though he becomes more and more alert and spends more of his time awake.

We've been going on a walk every morning and he seems to like that.  He likes his swing, for a little while at least.  He loves being rocked in his glider and he also loves being held and bouncing on the exercise ball, which is not surprising seeing as I spent the last week of my pregnancy sitting on that thing!

Welp, I hear the little man calling!  I'll leave you with one last photo :)
